Jessica Szohr Celeb-over

For this make up look I used my friend, Sabia, as my model. She often lends her face to me for make up practice so you'll probably see a lot more of her on here. I wanted to do a post on a celebrity style of make up and a friend once said that Sabia resembled the actress from Gossip Girl, Jessica Szohr, and that decided it for me.

Jessica is absolutely gorgeous and I love how she wears her make up. As she's young and has a cool style she wears different make up looks all the time but my favourite look on her is a smokey eye. She has beautiful eyes and the rusty golds and browns that she often wears really makes her eyes stand out and compliments her golden skin tone.

Sabia has lovely hazel eyes and whenever I've done her make up, I mostly do a bronze or gold smokey eye as it accentuates the slight hint of green in her iris. She also has great cheekbones so a tawny coloured blusher swept along the cheeks from the hairline makes her look super sculpted.

I used the following products to create this look:
Eyes:
First I used MAC Painterly Paintpot all over the eyelid as a base.
I then swept MAC Patina eyeshadow all over the eyelid.
I put MAC Woodwinked eyeshadow on the lower lid.
I blended MAC Smut eyeshadow into the crease and outer corner and then went over this with MAC Mulch eyeshadow and used this along the lower lashline as well.
I applied Eyelure Naturalite lashes in 101 to add natural fullness and length to Sabia's own lashes.
I used Maybelline Master Drama Khol Liner in black on the water line and on the top lashline and smudged it out a little bit.
I finished off the eyes with Maybelline Collosal Volum' Express Smokey Eyes mascara in black on both the top and bottom lashes.

Face:
As Sabia is naturally fairer that Jessica I used a warmer coloured foundation than her actual skin tone. I used MAC Face and Body foundation in C4 to keep her skin looking glowy and natural like Jessica.
I brightened up the under eyes with Bobbi Brown Peach Corrector and a touch of Mac Studio Tech Foundation over the top to conceal.
To contour and add colour to the face I used a Body Shop blusher in Cookie. My absolute fave for achieving a bit of colour on the skin without looking peachy or pink. I swept the colour in from her hairline and just under her actual cheekbone to give her a contoured look.

Lips:
I finished of this look by applying a lipstick by MAC called Hue and going over this with a slick of Revlon lipgloss in Pink Crystals.

I hope you like this look. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions leave a comment below.

Just love
